OK. This is probably going to sound like a really dumb question, but what guns...

Should have said, "What SOUND do guns make inside a building?"

I said in my title it was probably a dumb question, but I really want to understand.

I have shot shotguns, AK's, 45's, 38's, and 22's. But I have shot them all OUTSIDE, in a friend's backyard, against a homemade berm. Yeah, they were loud, but I have nothing to compare it to INSIDE a building - like a large box store.

I have NO experience with those weapons fired inside a building, so I'm hoping some of you with more experience will help me (and maybe others, too) understand how much LOUDER and dangerous that would be.

Some of the comments in several threads showed video some supposedly made while hiding from the "shooter." The comments included "there is total silence," "NO ONE is screaming, or even moaning," and - the one that made me write this thread: "The weapon noise is not loud enough...." Also, several "witnesses" have recorded interviews where those witnesses reported hearing, "pop, pop, pop." Is that REALLY what this guy's weapon would have sounded like?

I believe we've been lied to, so can someone help me out here?
