Things are bad enough, there is no need to make anything up. ~Fluffy "Never interrupt an enemy in the process of destroying himself." Quercitin and zinc...Get it. Take it. Then help preserve our liberty teeth by doing this one simple thing. Mass murderer, mass killer; interchangeable in this instance. The goal is to use a term that does not facilitate the demonizing of the tool. The reason for this tactic should be plain. But, just in case someone is wondering; the villification of firearms aids in the effort of disarming the American people by way of building support for the abolition or modification of the Second Amendment in such a way that obstructs or prevents firearms from being used in the way that the founders intended. Using "mass shooting/shooter" leverages very strong, visceral emotion in this effort. Either way, the important part is to recognize the utility of this technique and apply it anywhere that the bad actors at play against the people are insistent on using certain verbiage. Usually there is an operational reason, most often on a strategic level in the collective psyche/perception, for utilizing specific terms. There is a reason that they are referred to as liberty teeth. The 2A is of the same vital essence to the maintenance and safeguarding of a self-governing constitutional republic as the free and unimpeded exchange of ideas and a free press informing that exchange. If any single one is compromised, as the free press is today, the whole thing is in great peril. Last Edited by Thomas Cruciamen on 08/09/2019 10:51 AM |

Then help preserve our liberty teeth by doing this one simple thing. Referring to these maniacal fuck bags who use a firearm to commit these abhorrent murders as "mass shooters" is hurting the cause of safeguarding the Second Amendment. Using the term "shooter" invokes a mental image of a firearm and thus subconsciously makes a very strong connection between the revulsion, horror etc produced by the murder of innocent people to firearms in general. This association helps to demonize firearms by imparting a powerful negative connotation on the tool rather than the act of killing. Any reasonable person understands that any tool is wholly neutral in its moral value until the users intent informs the outcome of its use. "active killer/killing", and "mass killer/killing" help to assign the responsibility where it belongs, with the perpetrator and not the chosen tool. Quoting: Student of Truth Great advice. I edited my last thread: Thread: Gun Ownership: An American Right and Tradition. Thanks! Good deal. It was a well know psychologist who told me this. His name is Dave Grossman. I met him in Bristol Va. not too long back. Great guy. Too, I will be reading your thread when I get a chance today. Thanks for commenting. Spread the word!
