Nora Quorin: Bizarre New Disappearance in Malaysia mirrors Madeleine McCann case of 2007
A bizarre new disappearance of a child in Malaysia over the past week has strange echoes of the Madeleine McCann case of 2007. Nora Quorin, a 15-year-old child from London with learning difficulties, was on holiday with her parents in a resort just south of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Nora, who is of French and Irish parentage, disappeared on Sunday. The family had been due to spend the next 2 weeks on holiday at the 12-acre jungle resort.

Nora's parents discovered her missing on Sunday morning (4th August) after putting her to bed wearing only her undergarments the night before (evening 3rd August)

Here is the story so far...

The Malaysian Police:
- Initially treated it as a missing person's case and not an abduction.

- As of yet have found no sign of Nora

- But they are now treating this as a POSSIBLE abduction after the discovery of unknown fingerprints found at the forest resort cottage where she was staying

- Police are still examining these fingerprints but declined to give details

- Police believe she has NOT left the jungle

Nora's Parents:
- Do not believe she wandered off alone. "She never goes anywhere by herself... she is not capable of taking care of herself and she won't understand what is going on."

- Believe she has been abducted

The Resort Staff:
- Are baffled by the disappearance. "Our resort has been operating for 10 years and we have never even been robbed."

In contrast to the Police and the Resort Staff, the local villagers surrounding the resort - the Orang Asli - strongly believe she is NO LONGER in the jungle

- One of the villagers said: "This jungle is our playground since we were born here and know the place well. It is day four now, impossible she is still here. Even if she fainted or anything untoward happened...the police canine unit would have detected her scent. Furthermore, we ourselves searched all the difficult areas."

- Another local said: "Doesn't make sense if she lost her way and continued hiking upwards to the hilly jungle area. If she is still around, she would be wandering near the river down the hill or by the road side... So my point is the police have searched all the area around the hilly terrain, impossible for Nora to keep moving up and down several times."

The mystery deepens... and so do the similarities to the McCann case...

(1) The exact same question of the bedroom window:[/b]
Although it is claimed Nora would have been abducted from her bedroom window, the Malaysian Police chief clarified that it was the window in the living halls downstairs that was left open NOT the window in the bedroom upstairs where the girl was sleeping.

(2) The question of where Nora slept that night/color]

There is some confusion as to where Nora was sleeping on the weekend of the disappearance. The Malaysian police indicated that Nora had her own bedroom but Nora's grandfather Sylvain Quoirin has since said that she was sleeping in the same rooms as her siblings. In the McCann's case, remember there was confusion whether or not the three siblings were in the same bed, or was Maddie in her own bed.

(3) The exact same conundrum - the 'Sleeping Siblings who didn't awake...'

Sylvain Quoirin's statement that Nora was asleep with her siblings results in another bizarre echo of the McCann case - there is confusion how the rest of the children slept through the apparent abduction. The Malaysian police chief said: "Nora disappeared in extremely mysterious circumstances as she was sleeping in the same room with her brother and sister..."

The exact same number/sex of siblings who are both younger than her.. wait, what...?!
The coincidences don't seem to end. Madeleine McCann had a younger brother and sister whom she was apparently asleep in the room with. Nora also has a younger brother and sister.

Both 'abductions' apparently happened in the evening
Both Maddie's and Nora's abductions happened in the evening though the difference in Nora's case is everyone was in the cottage when it happened

The Police seem to think there may have been no abduction, but are keeping an open mind

Remember the reaction of the Portuguese police? Their initial statements, and the way things unfolded, bizarrely mirror everything with Nora's story. The Portuguese were sceptical any abduction ever happened, but eventually agreed to keep an open mind...

wtf

Re: Nora Quorin: Bizarre New Disappearance in Malaysia mirrors Madeleine McCann case of 2007
Police in Malaysia have discovered footprints they believe belong to a missing Brit teen as they scoured dense jungle for her.

The prints were found near the isolated resort where Nora Quoirin, 15, vanished on Sunday while on holiday with her family.

A specialist dog unit found them in the "search zone" but there was no further sign of Nora.

State Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar said: "Our detective canines had spotted footprints, but when we conducted a search there, we couldn’t find her."

However, he added he was now optimistic Nora - who has learning difficulties -was within the radius of the forest and hoped she would be found soon.
