I think the granola stays stuck together if you don't stir it and maybe bake it in a baking dish? I had it in a baking dish first, then goo'd the pans for baking and switched w a parchment lined cookie tray. Time to stir...brb

eta..okay, stirred it, still very soft from all the butter, so after the extra 15 minutes, it might take longer. I want really crunchy crackly granola. This is a first for me.

Good Morning ladies and Louis- I hope you have a great day today and enjoy the weather- It is still kinda chilly here in NY but I am headed outside to de-winterize the patio's and perhaps tidy up the Tiki Bar . I did a lot of construction during lock-down last summer = More work this year, but it was worth it. I will post some pic's if anyone is interested in junk like that.

lol Oh geez it only went off the rails from there, Tard1 was cooking the burgers, they weren't done, and they were cold,so He's like put them all back on the grill warm them up. 1 long minute later! "They're burning!!!!" They both come rushing to save the burgers, I accidentally knocked two off the grill because I'm beyond..... Just beyond. lolol so, I just went upstairs.

Now I bought 5lbs of burger. I knocked two off, that left like 8 burgers. I set the two aside for the dog. I came down an hour later and they were all gone except the two for the dog... they left me some fries though, which I had told them I didn't want earlier.... Long story short, I had ice cream for dinner at 11.

Don't do unto others unless you want them to do unto you...sorta kinda foodie stuff as well. So the pile of granola is done, the fruit bowls are ready, the leftover quiche is soaking op the remaining oven heat.

Quinoa is hard to rinse before cooking, it all gets stuck in the sieve. DO you wash yours before cooking?

I'm still not craving anything other than what I am eating. I'm afraid if I eat something sweet and delicious, that will be my gateway to eating it daily.

I did a few years ago and remember having to rinse it first, it was on the box instructions. I didn't like doing this so I stopped preparing it.

mine does not but i may have modified the OG recipe from first time i was told of it? It might with maple syrup. supposedly you are supposed to be able to make squares from the baked pan if desired. i would take a picture in the jar in the cupboard but that is excessive. I have a question?

Apparently Tard2's dog ate them off the counter. I didn't know she could reach it that easily. lol! I can't believe they even asked if I ate 7 hamberders!!! I'm sure the look I gave them was complete disdain... I said "I did not eat one of them" and looked down at the dog dish. which hasn't been touched.. lol

small amounts for a bit of carbs and it is balanced out with nice fat. You will notice fatty foods over carb foods last longer for energy and burn off better over all.

You will totally crave carbs and this is a good thing rather then something gross with flour in it.

oh you can upload directly to imgur from your phone. Just put the app on your phone. When you open the app, top right is a white box with a + sign in it, that's where you upload.

I just count calories and I always eat potatoes! I just weigh them. There isn't much difference nutritionally between sweet and regular potato just taste preference. I just don't eat pasta carbs cause I just don't care for them and I can easily eat 1000 calories of pasta, that's how much I don't like it lol. I would go for tuna noodle or mac and cheese with pasta. Oh my got, I can squeeze in 500 calories of ho made mac and cheese, that's 10 oz but I should weigh in grams but I'll let those extra calories slip in through the back door any day. But I do low fat and supplement with cod liver oil capsules. This way I can eat more. I don't have any cravings for anything and I feel satisfied from the protein. My food also digests easier this way because it's not heavy. I will have a free day of eating on my birthday since we are going out to dinner but I will still look at the menu before I go and pick something half way decent.

Oatmeal is a carb I get in too because it's low calorie. Rice isn't worth it most of the time. But potatoes are. Right now I'll avoid nuts except for walnuts for the fat, I'll eat an oz but will cut them out in a couple weeks when I lower the calories. I'm only eating 1600 calories a day now while building muscle, I'll cut the calories every couple weeks 100 daily until I get to 1300 a day. It's just to see if I can do it. I tried and got off track and now back at it, it's really hard going so low calorie while growing at the same time.

Here's my second lunch, 3rd meal for the day.
80 grams sweet potato 70 calories
85 grams chicken breast 95 calories
1 whole can green beans 40 calories
1 pickled pepper 33 calories.

237 calories

I've been eating 5 times a day. I prefer to eat low calorie dense foods so I do feel satisfied and not hungry or crave sweet and fat food.

my next calorie cut will be just 1/2 an oz of walnuts a day.

Quinoa that you would normally buy doesn't really need rinsing, the saponins have already been washed off. Unless you are buying it by the tonne or something.
