I don't cry that often, but I did that day. Amazing how crying can somehow heal wounds. I consider Neil as the best rock drummer, but I'm sure many will debate that. And although I'm more a Genesis fan, Rush was always special to me since first listening to them in college. Peart was a genuine genius, very well read, and inspired me to start reading Ayn Rand's works. This video is a tribute made soon after he passed to the song from the "Clockwork Angels" album, "The Garden" with some classic Peart lyr-x. I just noticed in this video that his bass drum in one of the shots (from the Snakes and Arrows tour) has a snake ouroboros on it. About 10 years ago, I used to have an ouroboros necklace I used to always wear. Last Edited by Squonk on 01/18/2023 04:24 PM Nous sommes du soleil. -- We are of the sun. |

First concert ever was Emerson Lake and Palmer in the early 70s. We onlybsnuck to it on a shopping trip to SLC for school clothes so it could have been anyone and we would have gone Scit was forbidden. :) Thanks for your share Squonk. |

User ID: 78676084 United States 01/18/2023 10:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This folksy song brings back some good memories when the world, at least perceived by me, as a teen during the mid 70’s to be a much simpler world where we had youthful, joyous exuberance and a positive outlook on the world and our future. I was too young to really watch news, and didn’t really care being just a kid of world events. Maybe many of us were protected like in a bubble, and I’m damn glad for that. Unfortunately, as we age, we are more subjected to the bigger picture of the world, now in my early 60’s, I, as well as many more, have become more jaded, and rightfully so of our world views. Great tune man to bring me back to those better times. Thanks Last Edited by Squonk on 01/18/2023 10:37 PM Nous sommes du soleil. -- We are of the sun. |

User ID: 78676084 United States 01/18/2023 10:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hi there Pool. I just went through a couple of my jewelry drawers and could not find it :(. Bummer. I also had a very cool dark brass dragon one that wasn’t there either (to me represented Gnosticism). Only one I found was my Irish Triquetra. (Mind, body, spirit) I think I’ll by another ourocorus one, and where it if I go out, which is rare, or if we have a function at our clubhouse. Always interesting getting into conversations with people about the particular significance of a pendant. Hope all is well with you Last Edited by Squonk on 01/18/2023 10:55 PM Nous sommes du soleil. -- We are of the sun. |
