A little over three years ago, Neil Peart (drummer for Rush)-- "the professor" passed away. I don't cry that often, but I did that day. Amazing how crying can somehow heal wounds. I consider Neil as the best rock drummer, but I'm sure many will debate that. And although I'm more a Genesis fan, Rush was always special to me since first listening to them in college. Peart was a genuine genius, very well read, and inspired me to start reading Ayn Rand's works. This video is a tribute made soon after he passed to the song from the "Clockwork Angels" album, "The Garden" with some classic Peart lyr-x. I just noticed in this video that his bass drum in one of the shots (from the Snakes and Arrows tour) has a snake ouroboros on it. About 10 years ago, I used to have an ouroboros necklace I used to always wear.

Rush was a favorite at 14 and 15. I got seasoned by the most amazing rockers at an early age. First concert ever was Emerson Lake and Palmer in the early 70s. We onlybsnuck to it on a shopping trip to SLC for school clothes so it could have been anyone and we would have gone Scit was forbidden. :)

Thanks for your share Squonk. hugs
