Can someone explain the different types of Colloidal Silver please.

We have been a Colloidal Silver user for the past 30 years and use it to combat any infection. It's natures anti-biotic.

In the early days, 40 ppm (parts per million) was standard, however the newer models supply smaller particles (8 to 10 ppm) and seem to make it easier to be absorbed by the body, thus better.

Automatic silver makers make it easier, they shut off when the right ppm has been reached.
Make sure to ALWAYS use distilled water, NOT spring water which is ordinary tap water with minerals. These minerals will interfere with the process.
NOTE: We buy the distilled water in gallon jugs at either the drug store or at the grocery store.

I pour a quart of distilled water into the jar and after about 4 to 5 hours the machine automatically shuts off.
And make sure to either save it in a dark place or in a dark glass jar, NO PLASTIC containers.
It will keep for a year or more.

We use it internally, as well as externally. When I crushed my thumb and bones were sticking out, the doctor wanted to amputate the thumb.
I declined and soaked it in silver water. NO INFECTION ever happened and the thumb healed just fine.
However, I drink a 2oz liquor glass with the stuff twice a week to boost my immune system.
We even give it to our pets in their water bowl.

20-40 ppm is the yield from the inefficient so-called generators sold by conmen to gullible suckers. Quality colloidal silver is above 80 ppm.

I generated and marketed 300-500 ppm ppm colloidal silver for over 25 years. The "Gold" colour is because true colloidal silver of a high concentration filters out the blue light. Even if you expose lower concentrations to light long enough, the ions will start to clump and take on a gold tinge.

I have taken colloidal silver through a nebulizer every day fo over 20 years, keeping my COPD at bay, extending my life by many years by avoiding the infections that everyone else with the disorder get.

So 8 PPM is 8 silver molecules to every million water molecules.

The PPM ranges from 8 to as high as 500.

Ionic Silver - one electron has been removed from the silver atoms, allowing it to react/bond with its environment better. Also has greater electric charge/potential that particulate/true silver.

True Colloidal Silver - real, non ionized atoms of silver, all connected to form 'particles.' Particle size is a huge factor in the quality of your colloidal silver. THIS VERSION WORKS THE BEST in my experience, although there are some things particulate silver will not be attracted to that ionic silver is.

Silver Protein - stay away, scam. silver does not have a protein version of itself. This is a marketeing trick.

Nano Silver - blanket term to describe ionic or particulate silver that has very small particle sizes.

I should add be suspicious of anyone claiming nano-colloids, and ALWAYS look very heavily into what studies/lab tests they do and release. Look up the lab they claim to use and assess its reputation. be cautious

The Blue man didnt use pure silver or distilled water. His silver had nickle in it. He also used to mix it with salt and rub on his skin from what I read. This combo turned him into Papa Smurf. Loved the comment on charging for the Oxygen.

If you have a 8oz glass of distilled water and you insert two .999 silver wires 1 1/2" apart and hooked to a 30VDC power supply you will see:
nothing for the 1st 15 minutes (tested it would be nano sized silver)
after 30 min some gray smoke will be coming off the rods. That is the silver that is the smallest size to that would be taking internally (swish in mouth)
after 45 minutes the smoke is heavier and the silver particles are larger, that is what you would would use externally.

There are testers so you could make a strong batch is the current was held at the lowest setting. That is the only differences I am aware of. Making it in an amber glass would be better for the color, using a red darkroom lamp would be as good as it gets, overkill really.

So how does one make True Collloidal Silver? I read all home generators produce Ionic Silver. So for true colloidal silver when all the atoms come together does that create one particle or is that the amount of atoms used to determine PPM?

Is it best to use wire/rods vs. silver coins? Does the area submersed make a difference in the potency or time needed?

I make my own and just turned my cousin on to it. He had a bad case of shingles from belly button to spine about 8" wide, he used it as an external rub and 3 shots a day. cleared up in 3 days.

Also, where and how do I test the output of any of these when finished product? What would I need to buy?

I would prefer to make it since purchasing is so damn expensive and I plan to use this on my gums after brushing. I have an issue with gum disease and I am hoping this will keep it at bay.

I would also use it on surface injuries as well as if I were starting to get sick.

My concerns are to not damage my body with particles that are not expelled and accumulate in the body over time.

The biggest problem with colloidal Silver is its name. If we call something colloidal, it merely means that it is held in suspension. For example, milk is colloidal butterfat. “Colloidal silver” is sold with ratings of parts per million “PPM.” That is the ratio of the water’s weight versus the Silver contained and suspended in the water. This measurement is made by the method of atomic absorption spectrophotometer. A sample is burned, and the light emitted includes spectral lines for Silver, the amplitude of which gives an indication of the parts per million, by weight. There is nothing in this method to distinguish between ions, “charged” particles, and uncharged.
It is easy for an unscrupulous colloidal Silver manufacturer to make and advertise “colloidal silver” with strengths of 20, 30, 50, or 500 PPM. All they have to do is generate large particles and coat them with a substance lighter than water to stay in suspension. These solutions will have a color as the larger particles will block out portions of the ambient light, trying to shine through the water. The larger the particles, the more color, beginning with light yellow. There is real evidence to suggest that these solutions will do you harm, leading to a condition called argyria.
As you read through the thread, you will find numerous citations of serious, peer-reviewed studies illustrating silver ions’ superiority in killing bacteria to silver particles. The number of silver ions is measured in terms of electrical conductivity. When this thread started, the only instruments with the ability to measure this were quite expensive. The price of these has come down to a remarkable degree. A device capable of measuring ionic PPM within one or two ppm is now available on eBay for less than $10. If you’re going to make colloidal silver “ionic,” one of these should be the first thing you purchase. The second thing is to make sure that you get genuine 9999 pure silver wire with a certificate of analysis from a reputable source. Other than that, all you need is a voltage source and a resistor to limit the current. A multimeter with the 2 V scale and an additional 1K resistor will allow you to measure your current in microamps. That is all you need to make perfect, clear colloidal Silver. With a certain amount of experimentation, you will be able to make your colloidal Silver of a quality equal to commercial manufacturers’ offerings.

A clear colloidal silver solution signifies that there is no agglomeration to form larger particles. Agglomeration means that some of the particles are starting to share electron rings and are no longer repelling each other. This, in turn, may render the colloidal silver less potent.

Nano is the smallest particles, that is what you should take internally as it gets to all parts of the body. 30Min after the one rod 'starts smoking' it is done,
Leave the generator on longer and the current will increase so the silver particles are larger, that is sprayed on your skin. The next bigger size is for countertops and the largest size is for washing fruit and rinsing eating things like forks, knives and plates and glasses.
