I think it will likely be a highly targeted operation against individuals that they deem to be their biggest threats in a civil conflict scenario. I would be surprised if this is more than one percent of gun owners and, in all likelihood, it will be much less than that. My guess is it will focus on people who hold unacceptable political views and possess high level weapons and tactics training, good survival skills, excellent physical fitness and, above all else, genuine leadership potential in a future resistance movement. For nearly all of these people, weapon confiscation has always been a clear line in the sand that they will never submit to, even if it means death. They are counting on this and want targeted individuals to resist confiscation teams with force so they can be eliminated in the ensuing shoot out. |
