You must be a young one to be taken in by these weather "horror" stories. Those of us who have been around a bit longer know it's not unusual, we have seen periods of no water and mowater. LOL. A little joke my grandfather once told me that involved rain and mowater. This is just a speck we are living in now in the grand scale of time. All things change in the long run, you can't stop it. Weather patterns repeat in decades of time and march relentlessly forward toward global change in EONS of time, only to circle back and start all over again. Chill. You can't change it, all you can try to do is adapt for survival. |

Briefly consider this.... - These days, with technology, news can spread globally within seconds of occurrence. Anyone with a phone, tv, computer, radio, etc can see/hear/read said news. Compare that to just 30 years ago or 60 years. - In a similar light, look at the global population of, say, 60 years ago and compare that to today. Populating a region is a first come, first served deal. So the best spots got snatched up ages ago. As the population grows, people are forced to inhabit the less desirable areas...i.e. prone to flooding, prone to wildfires, prone to this or that Think about it. I am not excluding the possibility of some sort of weather phenomena and/or change in climate from being a factor, but it's certainly not the only factor. |
