In my state, we call this kind of admission "tellin' on yourself". You admit to certain negative behavior that has no lesson, does not edify anyone, that erodes people's opinion about you and your communication, and thus sabotages yourself.

Why do that? Why are you undermining yourself? Do you know what undermining means from history?

When there was a castle being besieged, then it could take months to penetrate the walls with artillery. So miners would tunnel in to try to bring down a wall so the fortress could be taken faster.

Why do that? What is your aim?
