Red Flag laws are in direct contradiction to the meaning and purpose of the 2nd amendment, which is to give the people the power to force the government to comply with its will.If the governemtn is given the right to make this decision they will simply take weapons out of the hands of people who oppose them on fabricated or invalid pretexts. Its not about hunting, or shooting clay pigeons, or even home self defense, its about defending freedom from a tyrannical out of control government, like the one we have now. The government must never be given the power to selectively disarm the people.

Not to make light of this, but I don't get the gun grabbers reasoning. Do they honestly think that guy intent on killing a lot of innocent people is going to be that concerned rather the gun he uses is illegal or not, or the magazine?
The only people who obey laws are law biding citizens. Drugs and guns can be bought at any corner on any large city street, even Manhattan
