FYI- Red Flag Laws have already been enacted in 17 states and 4 others have them in process to be voted on. Scroll down to see states listed: [ link to www.thetrace.org (secure)] Yes, I am shocked at so many violations of the 2nd Amendment in various states and towns. I understand about variances in state laws vs. federal law- but our constitutional rights should not be infringed upon in any state or city. It seems these are things that could be brought before the Supreme Court. The most recent laws are not intended to infringe upon law-abiding gun owners and should not be seen as unconstitutional. When the police ticket an individual for DUI there is a legal process between the police, court and individual. Penalties increase exponentially for successive DUI's - something the public is tolerant and accepting of. These new 'red-flag' laws like Florida's and Indiana's, while somewhat different have been implemented due to the nature of increasing violent mass shootings. The public will come to accept this type of process much as MADD and all states have. Take a few minutes to review the protocols maybe for these two states. . Thanks for posting this.
