So what she’s saying is that conspiracy theories flourish in high stress chaotic and hectic periods like when conspiracies are blatantly exposing themselves faster than the media can cover with believable narratives.

Glad she has something to show for all that education.

But while I’m at it, though, since she was dropping such big words...the way the amygdala works is that it is essentially always sounding an alarm in our heads which is muted by our Hippocampus. The hippocampus is constantly comparing reality with “expectations” based on forms of perceived information including “facts” and senses and so on....when shit don’t jive the hippocampus lets the alarm 🚨 (aka the amygdala) sound, pushing a search for “truth” or more importantly something that makes sense thereby soothingly muting the amygdala once again.

If they were they were doing half a good job at their profession right now, they wouldn’t have to dig the hole deeper with reports likes this one....sad, sad state of affairs.
