Trump's Tariffs
In case you still believe that US consumers are not paying for the tariffs..

The White House announced today that tariffs have been delayed temporarily for certain items coming from China, such as TVs, computers, video games, and even Christmas decorations. This is to help the holiday shopping season.

But I thought he said China's paying, not US consumers. Like Mexico...

He knows Americans' pay these tariffs even if he won't say with his lying mouth or twitter fingers.

Why give China a break, around the holidays, if they pay?

Hasn’t effected me.
2016 I made 185,000
2017 I made 187,000
2018 I made 229,000
2019 I’m on track to make 309,000

Trumps economy is stupendous. Pre-trump our revenue growth was roughly 5-15% annually over 9 years with 3 years of flat non growth. With Trump we are close to 40% growth last year and it’s looking like another 40% year again this year. I’ve never seen growth like this.

Or, conversely, consumers are buying American goods and the money is going right back into the American economy.

Tariffs, not taxation of labor was the original plan to pay the governments bills. Instead, that was changed and the American people bought a huge hungry beast that operates in it's interest, not We The Peoples.

It's being spent by bloated government that won't cut spend.

It's not working no jobs are going to be coming back due to government regulations and taxes.

If companies could make products American consumers could afford they would buy them.

Trump is just taxing the people that can least afford it.

Re: Trump's Tariffs
Normally when a Tariff is imposed it is followed by some sort of financial concession in favor of locally producing the good or service on which the tariff was imposed.

If a tariff blocks products from passing through a border because of a price hike on a good or service, the local government would seek to manufacture the said product or otherwise assist with financing.

Trump did nothing like this, he imposed a tariff and did not help the farmers, the effect caused a failure.

He lost the markets of the farmers, then gave them free money which they used to pay off debt.

He lost the Tariff war.

His base does not understand what a tariff means.

Farmers will now sell their land to the very people who won the Tariff war.

He then will have to close the Embassies to block out the Chinese investors who are poised to purchase all of the lands.

Wrong snaggletooth.

The Tariff is what is supposed to fund our government;
proscribed by our Constitution.

Somewhere in the past we got away from this .. and our country has suffered because of it.

Our manufacturing base is gone.
What if we have to fight the next war?

Yeah.

Trump dropped steel and aluminum tariffs on Mexico in exchange for them signing the new trade deal. And thats prolly why he put them in place.

I don't think he needs to tariff china. He needs to tariff the u.s companies in china that are selling to the u.s.. Then he needs to take that tariff money and spread it around to the poor people who can't get work or have to work 2 jobs etc.. Those are the people getting fucked because the jobs are in china..

The people that buy crap from china?

Remember, in the converse example where American products are bought, the money goes directly into the economy, the money only goes to the tariff when the foreign goods are bought.

This is one of the three basic legitimate reasons for having a Federal government.

Tariffs on Chinese crap are nowhere near enough. We need proscriptions on whole classes of items we now import from there. Chinese "heritage/historical" trinkets, and some carefully-monitored foodstuffs is all we should be importing.
