This would be an opportune time for Taiwan to intervene and occupy Hong Kong. Why should the USA be involved - it's really not our fight... although I respect the protestors and their cause. Taiwan has everything to gain - We have everything to lose, by intervening in Chinese affairs. North Korea is another option - Kim could help make NK great by standing up for Hong Kong citizens !! LOL  That would be awesome! Or arm them, not sure if NK would do anything though.
