Does anyone know if Hong Kong pays any form of tax to China? if so, would be interesting to know how much.
As a financial center, Hong Kong may have more economic leverage against China than we may understand. And China can't just walk in and start running the financial of aspects of Hong Kong's trading centers. A long term strike by Hong Kong workers could be significant to China's economic welfare.
Anyone familiar with this? If so, please provide some background and scale.

China accuses western agencies of being the cause of this. What if this affects the markets in such a way as to bring down a President if they begin to go down because of the fallout. Can't understand what they think they're going to get out of this, only China is going to win this.
