The US will eat well and survive nicely without China's cheap shit. And spend our money either at home or elsewhere.

China needs foreign cash to pay off and feed their populace. Without it, they will face a lot bigger uprising than what they are getting from Hong Kong.

Again, the economic weapon may be more impactful than a military one in this instance. Trump seems to get that----without putting US soldiers at risk.
