Although the bottom of that page does say this: "The data contained in the Farmer’s Report is provided for informational purposes only, is not tailored to your specific purchasing needs, and is not intended as a substitute for any other publicly-available market data or information. The Farmer’s Report is compiled from the last-received market data provided by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and/or other market sources, and is subject to change without notice. So hopefully the information that website is accurate as reasonably as it can be. Conspiracy Theorist is nothing more than a derogatory title used to dismiss a critical thinker. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 37824217 Texas is still a Red State for the time being, but it's just a matter of time before the Democrats/Liberals/Communists successfully permanently turn Texas into a Democrat State. Anonymous Coward User ID: 64663292 United States 08/13/2019 06:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am making this thread simply because I have noticed a gradual to drastic price in various food prices across the board at my local Brookshire's store the last time I shopped there two or so days ago. I noticed that chicken food product prices rose drastically while cheese prices rose just a little. Quoting: darkwolf007 I figure the chicken prices are raising so fast and so high is because of all the vast flooding that hit so much of the Great Plains States earlier this year. That vast flooding destroyed so many farmers' lives, livestock, and properties. Most of their lives are unrecoverable. Tens of millions of cattle, chicken, and other livestock were drowned in the flooding last I knew. Even beef prices have jumped up a dollar or more per pound recently too. Cheese prices shouldn't jump up too much in prices for a while longer due to I think many cheese manufacturers have up to a vast supply in waiting. This is usually due to aging various cheeses for specific reasons. |

We usually buy chicken pieces in bulk as they go on sale at $ .88 - .77lb. All other meat shopping we do at costco. I buy biggest portions of meat and butcher into family size meals at home. Saves a lot of money! From the author of Blade Runner: “There will come a time when it isn't 'They're spying on me through my phone' anymore. They are already raising the prices in anticipation of the high prices coming for corn. beef will follow, but not as much due to the fact they only fatten the animal with corn before butchering. just food for thought. One thing is for sure now, food prices are definitely going up for good. |

Im getting 2lbs of flobby ribeye USDA prime from my local winn dixie for just $14 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77744278 Meat is getting cheaper. Vegetables and fruits are getting cheaper. Processed foods....box cereals or sausages or bacon are defibately getting more pricey pork going up due to the massive losses in China. Catastrophic losses. we'll see cereals etc climb further as the corn price goes up. we are definitely in a trend of rising food prices for many reasons. Australia severe drought, Africa severe drought, corn crop losses and other farm devastation from flooding. even trade tariffs are playing into food prices. Many crops such as garlic are commonly chinese in origin also honey, and others. we are living in strange times and it will ONLY get stranger |
