The game I play, have been playing, to obliterate my senses with, is an MMORPG known as FFXIV. It's final fantasy. In the newest expansion which dropped late June early July, you are redefined from the Warrior of Light to the Warrior of Darkness. Thusly the expansion is called "Shadowbringers".

In this game, the construct of Hydaelan (like God) and Zodiark (like Satan or the Devil) are both primals created by the will of mankind or a superior more ancient race. See, the characters have always believed Hydaelan to be prior to mankind, a true god, self-begotten. But a superior, more ancient race informs the characters, that their God was actually a construct in the mind of these aetherial ancient man. God was a construct to wrestle with it's opposite, created to supply harmony and opposition. God represented the collective will of its creators in mankind, and the Devil was represented by the opposing will. This is a revelation that is only faintly touched upon, but it's quite interesting.

The enemies you face in the game are called sin eaters. They look like angels. The land is flooded not with darkness, but with unending daylight. Your task is to bring the darkness back to it. Maybe this is the akin to the female and male half of lucifer. As the Warrior of Light, you embodied one will, but as a grail vessel of sorts, you are also fit to inhabit the opposite will when it will restore the balance of the world to harmony.

Maybe what's confusing you is that you don't know exactly who the Illuminati are. There are various factions. Mine is one of the ones fighting for liberation. Let's larp folks.

I agree, we should be looking at the bigger picture in what is at play rather then trying to narrow down specific entity archetypes.

I see what you mean as doing so is a sort of extension of ego from us into the archetypes and obscures our view.

It's not hard to channel an entity, but it does create a perspective where we are confined to that entities perspective which can create misunderstanding.

Channelers are open and allow a possessing entity to take them over.
