The water running off the land from the catastrophe formed the Grand Canyon and others like it in years, not millions, just like the canyon formed from Mt St. Helens when spirit lake was blown out of its place, the water rushing back created canyons 200 ft high, the trees floated upside down, root ball on top. In the Yellowstone area there are trees that are upside down that go through supposed millions of years of sediment, they were floating that way until covered up in a short period of time.
