Fixing the trade deals has got to be done. Fixing agriculture in the US also has GOT to be done.

Since the 50's it's been "get big or get out". And that really isn't good for the food supply, consumers or farmers.

But Trump is pushing GMO with less restrictions than are already present. It seriously bothers me that he doesn't understand agriculture and that he put a mega ag wonk as Sec of Ag.

Different topic, I know, but if he could be educated on agriculture, it would really help. He DOES understand how screwed we have been with these WTO trade deals. And I support what he is doing. Also, China is losing a ton of crops, so whatever.

In a legitimate war, the people have to give to the effort in order for it to succeed. And farmers have always supported that. The timing of the tariffs is especially bad though because of the beating farmers have taken in the mid west because of the flooding. Many farms are heavily in debt and were depending on this year's crop. For those farmers who were able to harvest a crop, the prices are sagging. This is not a good time for the American farmer.

Trump maybe targetting CHina right now. So China will forever sources it's need from multiple sources to prevent this from happening again, at least China will reduce and even eliminate buying from US farmers and will develop farming in Africa or somewhere else and even their own to source it's need.

Other countries will also be very careful in buying American farm produces (and other American products) considering the possibility of getting boycotted or tarrif-ed like China. It's a risk dealing with America. So, For now, most countries will try to steer themselves off from depending on American products. And this trade war will only isolate America.

Ans when no one wants American products, it's the start of Ameericans going downhill and seeking for another war to start it's economy through war industry. But Americans will risk mutual assured destruction. And this time around, America will assure it's own total destruction when swarm of nukes rain down on USA from every other nuke capable countries.

For tariff to work, America should go commie, be a socialist country with a close door policy.

Trade deficit is something that normally happens due to each country having different resources and capabilities. All of you who buy things from your retailers have a 100% trade deficit with your retailers, but none of you complain coz it's normal.

Balancing the trade is abnormal cause each countries have different resources and capabilities. Bvalancing the tradde is like an affirmative action ignoring different level of intelligence. Affirmative action of preferring more Blacks to enter universities depends on a tariff-like policy and all of you who prefer merit based would hate it.

The WTO trade agreements are designed to destroy first world countries and bring all nations to the same level of poverty.

They are completely, totally, and irrevocably flawed, dishonest, destructive and essential to a one world government.

US should simply get out of the WTO entirely.

Any farmer that can't see what has happened to ag since the advent of WTO agreements is blind, or dumb on purpose.
