Every tried reading "The Dweller on Two Planets" written in 1886? It's a mind bender!
But there is a more recent book that includes that work called Stories of a Hollow Earth, it's much easier to comprehend.

Strange that you posted this. Whenever I looked at the magma, it looks like a molten metal to me. It fascinates me since I was a child.
