How many presidents in a row now has the he's coming for your guns narrative come and gone?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76171428

Probably the same number of presidents as the "going to make things better" narrative.. The last 8 or 9 of them.. Doesn't anybody see the cycle? IT"S ALL BULLSHIT..

There's no positive action being taken by government, ever. Their business is not to keep people free and ensure they have guns. It's quite the opposite.

Society is regressing big time and NWO is already here, they just don't admit it to the public.

Why would a man who's supposedly been a victim of illegal wiretaps and surveilance want to keep such a thing?

It really makes one wonder just what the hell is really going on.

If this is true, then we've all been played by the system again.

THAT ORANGE GUN GRABBER IS GOING AFTER THE SECOND AMENDMENT TOO!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13358554

Seeing as how you call him orange, that would be a wet dream for you and your party huh?

Here is your champion, because he took guns too and that is what your rally call is.

If you argue, or disagree with then deleting the 4th (or any other Constitutional Amendment) they call you a 'conspiracy theorist' and a possible domestic terrorist.

We got to figure this out but quick, or we're done. Or is it too late, you think?

These days, anytime there's a slogan, law or bill put into action that includes the words "Freedom, "America" or "Patriot", you can be sure it's either a ploy or a guise to actually erode our rights, one way or another. One of the most basic reverse psychology techniques known, yet it fools people endlessly.

Patriot act, Freedom Act, Make America Great Again. etc etc etc etc

The extreme left obviously does it as well (ie: Antifa)

Mirroring and hijacking definitions designed to confuse and create chaos.

Are we awake yet? Apparently not......

 Quoting: Kenny Kennesaw

Not only the words freedom patriot many other bills they pass that do the exact opposite of the bills wording. The group that falls for it the hardest are patriots . Funny? heh
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77937547

It is a propaganda technique called framing or reframing.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68228182

Anyone with half a brain understands that words like "freedom" or "patriot" just are ways for the government to steal more of your rights. It's all deception, which they are good at.

What makes you think we have fourth amendment protections now?

Patriot act did away with that, every "smart" device you have did away with that.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77326027

The Patriot Act merely made shit that had been going on in the dark, legal. Look up Project Echelon.

"In 1988, Margaret Newsham, a Lockheed employee under NSA contract, disclosed the ECHELON surveillance system to members of congress. Newsham told a member of the U.S. Congress that the telephone calls of Strom Thurmond, a Republican U.S. senator, were being collected by the NSA. Congressional investigators determined that "targeting of U.S. political figures would not occur by accident, but was designed into the system from the start." Yes but nobody is listening to every call, it is a computer algorithm that alerts for keywords within a parameter, like a lexisnexis search for audio. If the alert is triggered, that is when the eavesdropping occurs. Sometimes it is noting, and the person has a legitimate reason to discuss and use the term "dirty bomb" within 20 words of "Washington DC" The point is they need to listen in to determine which context it was being discussed, if it was harmless, they end the surveillance. If it is suspicious, then they go and get a warrant for continued surveillance.
The debate is should you need to run to a judge at the moment it is triggered in order to listen in, or even the use of the program in the first place. It is a tool to keep America safe- Snowden like Ron Paul is not looking at the big picture. News Flash- nobody gives a shit what the everyday Joe says on the phone or types on the internet unless it is a threat. This is not a threat to the 4th amendment- it is a freakin tool to catch bad guys. I am for limited government as much as anyone, because most are not that bright, but ask yourself, Since the patriot act was enacted, have your rights been knowingly violated? No.

Whoa, are you on the legal team? lol

I think the question should go more like, 'ask yourself, how many times have your rights been unknowingly violated?'

Every once in a while? Everyday? Perpetually? lol. How far back do records go? Can they say like, 'I'd like to rewind to March 4, 2004's phone records of citizen 432-67-5678.'?

Yes, I'm directly asking you, Magnus 74, I get the feeling you may know. chuckle

Or, ooo, this is good question,

'ask yourself, isn't it ironic, that we are spying on Americans, to prevent terror acts of foreigners, yet we have more Americans committing terror acts against Americans, that we aren't preventing, even with this amazing, amendment violating tech in place?'.

And would someone please condense and clarify for me,

Instead of signing the temporary legal ability to violate our 4th Amendment rights, the Trump Administration wants to make it permanent?

Rand is just as much of a proponent for our personal civil rights than his father. Here is part of his filibuster from 2015. He stood up 10 hours on this. Much respect to him. Need him to run. He should run as a Libertarian, but if he does, it would be as a GOP, just due to the tards that vote based on party.
