Yes but nobody is listening to every call, it is a computer algorithm that alerts for keywords within a parameter, like a lexisnexis search for audio. If the alert is triggered, that is when the eavesdropping occurs. Sometimes it is noting, and the person has a legitimate reason to discuss and use the term "dirty bomb" within 20 words of "Washington DC" The point is they need to listen in to determine which context it was being discussed, if it was harmless, they end the surveillance. If it is suspicious, then they go and get a warrant for continued surveillance.
The debate is should you need to run to a judge at the moment it is triggered in order to listen in, or even the use of the program in the first place. It is a tool to keep America safe- Snowden like Ron Paul is not looking at the big picture. News Flash- nobody gives a shit what the everyday Joe says on the phone or types on the internet unless it is a threat. This is not a threat to the 4th amendment- it is a freakin tool to catch bad guys. I am for limited government as much as anyone, because most are not that bright, but ask yourself, Since the patriot act was enacted, have your rights been knowingly violated? No.

Instead of signing the temporary legal ability to violate our 4th Amendment rights, the Trump Administration wants to make it permanent?

Rand is just as much of a proponent for our personal civil rights than his father. Here is part of his filibuster from 2015. He stood up 10 hours on this. Much respect to him. Need him to run. He should run as a Libertarian, but if he does, it would be as a GOP, just due to the tards that vote based on party.
