Who does he think he is? What if they refuse?

President Donald Trump ordered U.S. shipping companies to block shipments of the opioid painkiller drug fentanyl into the country from China.

"I am ordering all carriers, including Fed Ex, Amazon, UPS and the Post Office, to SEARCH FOR & REFUSE all deliveries of Fentanyl from China (or anywhere else!)," Trump tweeted Friday.

"Fentanyl kills 100,000 Americans a year. President Xi said this would stop - it didn’t," he continued. "Our Economy, because of our gains in the last 2 1/2 years, is MUCH larger than that of China. We will keep it that way!"

Trump's Director of Trade and Manufacturing Policy Peter Navarro echoed the president's message in an interview with FOX Business anchor Maria Bartiromo Friday morning.

"He has absolutely galvanized the American people and Capitol Hill behind his China policy, and we know why," Navarro said of Trump. "China steals our stuff, they flood our communities with fentanyl and everything in between."

I think this action against fentanyl is a good thing, but, what I would like to see is a lifting of bans on a number of meds that DO NO HARM.

As a poor American suffering from asthma, I ordered 6 inhalers from mexico for the same cost as one here...the EXACT same product.

It was nabbed by customs or some similar agency, a letter being immediately sent to me informing me of the seizure.

I was instructed to reply asap, which I did, describing my desperate need for life-saving affordable meds.

They then sent the parcel to my home, after I promised to never do it again.

Since then, I immediately had to begin paying $90 for an office visit to get only a two refill prescription for inhalers which costed upwards of $80 each.

_____

They could easily allow some products through to make up th difference...although I would be leary to buy any pharmaceutical from a country who makes fake eggs out of chmicals, and sells rat meat as chicken.
