Sudden Stratospheric Warming .Rare Antarctic phenomenon could plunge Australian temperatures to midwinter lows
A rare meteorological phenomenon is brewing high above Antarctic, and it could make spring in Australia feel more like deep winter.

Australia and New Zealand over coming weeks.
If so, it could be the southern hemisphere’s own version of the icy “beast from the east” that paralysed Europe in 2018, reported the New Zealand Herald.
A sudden stratospheric warming (SSW) event kicks off when the temperature of the stratosphere — that’s 30km to 50km above ground — over the South Pole climbs by more than 25C. Meteorologists from New Zealand’s National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (Niwa) think it’s likely this is about to happen next week.

Can NOT happen.

Global Warming has warmed everything up so much Australia's mid winter lows of what? 40 degrees f? won't be exceeded.

Don't believe me? Just ask Al Gore, AOC, the entire group of Democrats running for President, Obama, and ALL of Hollywood.

In reality, there is no Australia.

I guess that makes this, 'fake news'.

Wait....hold up....

What about the thread with the magnetosphere that showed a pole shift in Australia....

I am going to see if I can find it.

Isn't Australia in winter right now?

It's the central US states that are going to be experiencing spring like cool temps here in August. Now that's a story. Kind of a pleasant one for August.

I know I'm thankful. My AC is out right now.

Only a week of Winter left here in Oz.
Winter here the last month or so has been like Spring weather.
Even my garden has been popping early.
Birds laying eggs on concrete without even building a nest thing to lay it on. Really bizarre.

So if Spring will be Winter, we can't complain cause the weather the last 2 months has been warm and wonderful.
