They are either fully alive and flying....or dead. No inbetween. Quoting: Urban Mythbuster I wonder why that is. Has anybody ever seen an old bird? Woe dude, thats like matrix stuff there! I've seen crows that have turned grey as well. I think an old bird that can't fly then can't get to food or water & wont last very long as it soon becomes easy picking for predators as well. Running towards the weekend. |

If you look up a typical birds life expectancy, you'll see they die before they get "old". I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

This leg was complete flimsy so it just sat around but now its repaired. This one is more socialable as it was on the shed roof. My head was over the top of the shed and it was inches away having a stare out comp. |

Easy there, Brit-boy... Birds naturally have a slower metabolic rate which speeds up the aging process and this leads to a shorter lifespan. Especially during hunting season. In most humans, our metabolism rocks fast when we are young and slows as we age which leads to less muscle mass and increased body fat. Of course, you may be the exception to that general rule and are both young and obese. |

When people die someone finds them and then they have to get buried...but you never find dead birds (for the most part)... They just go off into the bushes somewhere and hide and get covered up really fast or eaten by something else. I have wondered in the past about where have all the dead birds gone....have you? |
