Bannon may be the right man at the right time to understand, explain, and come up with the strategy to take on the Chicoms.

The mistakes in dealing with China go way back.

In 1991, under Bush I, my aerospace company had a huge machine tool that had been used to fabricate large parts for the B-1 bomber. The company put it up for bid.

The Chicoms showed up and bid $250K for the machine which had cost $6M originally.

The US Navy objected. They said, "If the Chicoms have that machine tool with its incredible precision, they can fabricate improved props for their subs with almost zero cavitation which will make it very difficult to track them. DO NOT SELL IT TO CHINA!"

The State Dept. said, "Not a problem. China is our FRIEND and will not go to war against their biggest customer".

So, Bush I and his henchmen let it happen.

What do I want? Audits to determine if any US officials, university admin, or person in power has received BRIBES from Chinese agents. It is past time to prosecute them.

BTW, Bannon goes a bit overboard in that interview.

He wants the USA to use MILITARY FORCE to remove Chinese forces from their artificial islands in the S. China Sea.

We don't need to go to war with them. All we need is to apply max economic pressure, arm/encourage the oppressed minorities within China, and let the people take care of the oligarchy.

Bannon rightly points out in that interview that, while China has existed as a civilization for over 3000 years, they only have about 10% of that time been a unified country.

Start sending Green Beret A teams to Monterey to learn Tibetan, Mongolian, that large Turkish minority, etc. THAT will threaten Beijing more than a few nuke aircraft carriers.
