Toxic caterpillars in trees! Yellow bastards!

Went to an auction Saturday. Had something on my neck, put my hand around and found a one inch yellow caterpillar.

Was under a walnut tree. Lots of itching Saturday night.

Since Sunday morning I now have a rash over about 3" X 8" over my upper back and around my neck.

Watery blisters, red rash and still itches bad.

The caterpillar is called "yellow dagger" and is highly toxic to some people!

So be aware of this pest. I'm 61 and I've never encountered such a bug or this kind of irritation.

These buggers eat several types of trees leaves, not just walnut, so watch out for them.
