Quoting: ROOSTRE Thank you! There was a thread about that here. Thread: WTH? That shit is rough on your liver. COVID IS NOT FUCKING REAL, WW3 AIN'T GUNNA HAPPEN. TURN OFF YOUR MOTHERFUCKING TV. [link to youtube.com (secure)] [link to youtube.com (secure)] |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77556714 United States 08/27/2019 10:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Know 2 people who died from Liver Failure caused by it. BAD stuff. NEVER have any alcohol if you have any Acetaminophen in your system ... you are begging for liver damage if you do that. I still have to take it now and then (sinus headaches that aspirin will NOT chase away), but I try to limit it to just enough to chase away that specific pain and NEVER have any alcohol while it is in my system. |

Quoting: ROOSTRE Not true, maybe makes one less of a drama queen, but it doesnt take away feelings. Reading the news everyday still effects me esp when innocent victims are involved. Im a regular Tylenol user. No liver problems cause I eat and drink healthy I suspect liver problems are due to combination of tylenol and alcohol. Nearly 80 percent of all people it seems love their alcohol. |

User ID: 393904 United States 08/27/2019 10:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Acetaminophen. Quoting: Nobody 77921487 Cayenne pepper is as effective. But it's hard on the bowel. All NSAID's are hard on the liver. I don't take them unless I have a toothache and only in moderation. Advil=ibuprofen an NSAID, which as a class are hard on the kidneys, not the liver. They also diminish the protective mucus lining of the stomach, increasing the risk of gastric acid causing ulcers/gastritis. They also inhibit platelet function so can increase bleeding, but unlike aspiring the effect is reversible. Tylenol=acetaminophen is not an NSAID, and Is hard on the liver, not the kidneys. Extra strength comes in 500mg tabs or caps, and most people take two of them. But the pain relief effect plateaus around 650-750mg - so buy regular capsules (325mg) and take two, or ES tabs (500mg) and take 1-1/2. In general, Tylenol is better for headaches and NSAIDs are better for musculoskeletal pain. Both will reduce fever. They can be taken together without interaction. Neither is really harmful when used appropriately, over short term. Heavy long term use is bad for both. Many pro-athletes have developed CKD because of long term NSAID use and too much Tylenol can definitely cause acute andor chronic liver damage. |

Label says take max of 2 caplets a day unless directed by physician. Off another bottle (no brand) is says 500mg per cap, no more than 1000mg/day I have read some about this and the major problem seems to be overdoses, more is not better. No alcohol mixing with acetaminophen either. Very easy to think more is better in this society. 00 |
