[link to www.express.co.uk (secure)] The speedy asteroid will swing by the planet on its orbit of the Sun just before midnight today (August 30). NASA first observed the space rock, dubbed Asteroid 2019 QU4, on Wednesday, August 28. The initial observation and the 67 that followed, have determined the asteroid is headed on a so-called Earth Close Approach. NASA found the asteroid will appear closest to our home planet tonight at 11.47pm BST (10.47pm UTC). |
