The dead know nothing at all. They cannot see, think, hear, or do anything.
If your religion has taught you something different than that, you have been taught a lie.
Eccleisiastes 9 and verse 5 says: "the dead know nothing at all" and verse 10 says: "Whatever your hand finds to do, do with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave, where you are going."
