Who the FUCK would buy a car that needed an app and internet connection 24/7 to work?! And surely they must be tracking everything you do with that app...

I thought Tesla’s were cool, but I would never buy one if it needed an app, not even if I was super rich. And I do have a smartphone and I like it too, but I prefer my other possessions to work without it.

Maybe this car driver needs to follow his example ... and put a gas generator on the roof?!

These cars are really best for stop and go driving. With regenerative braking, you get most of the energy back and don't wear out brakes.

why do people fall for such an obvious scam as unlocking yore car with an app???? get a car which uses "keys", like cars have used for the last 100 years. it works.

which makes it far inferior to other similar cars out there.

P.S. -- Tesla cars are total pieces of dogshit and a huge scam. The company has never come close to turning a profit and it never will.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77976976

And yet nearly every Tesla owner loves their car and will happily buy another when the time comes. Average income of a Tesla owner is $153,000, so we're not dealing with morons here, even if some of them tend to vote Democrat.
 Quoting: terrifiedanimal

You think because a person makes a certain amount of money that that person isn't a dumbfuck? There are so many counterexamples to that, buying an overpriced toy that could easily blow up in your face and roast your ass being one. So what if the dumbfucks who bought Teslas would buy another one? Most people who vote Democrat would vote for another Democrat. Just shows how some dumbfucks never learn.

I would think it's cheaper to repair. It has less parts, and far fewer friction parts and gaskets that wear out and dry up. An electric motor has very little friction in it, a gasoline engine is enorously complex.

Basically the car should last decades, but every so often the batteries must be replaced. That's expensive, but maybe the cost will come down.
