If some nut comes up to you and screams about the world ending, the majority of people are reasonable to assume they're a nut and can easily discount it.

But, when I sit beside someone and tell them about the underpinnings of high society and the movements behind the curtain, they panic. Because I don't look like a nut. I have the breeding. I'm a professional. And I'm close enough that I was likely in the room of what I discuss.

Their minds crack, not because they're being told something they can easily discard as lunacy, but because they can't discard it, so they absorb it, and become lunatics.
