China has to pay the taxes with US dollars and the only place China can acquire US dollars is from US consumers.


US consumers will and are paying the taxes.

China was opened up to US consumer debt inflation in the late 1970's

All the surplus US dollars in China were then used to buy US treasuries which caused the treasuries to increase in price and yields to drop lower and lower.

Now yields have to rise up more and more.

To accomplish this prices have to rise more and more.

The tariffs along with increases in minimum wages are designed to ignite hyperinflation.

Michael, I bear you no ill will but all of this you have posted is incorrect. Free market forces in the US will continue to work, and if we stop trade with China altogether we will simply move that trade to other countries who will not steal our intellectual property. We are not going to the insane $15 minimum wage, and if we do it won’t result in hyperinflation, it will just cost a lot of entry level workers their jobs when we go to automation instead. It will cause problems, but not hyperinflation. The US has its issues at present because of the socialists in our country, but we aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

BTW, Canada should really be cheerleaders for the US, Particularly when it comes to issues of world power. . . Just saying.
