Alas as I read this post OP. I had a thought of my g/children who are touched by those psycohstein as "they" touch every single person on this planet which would be better were those psychos never born.

"They" murder any who may be game to their plans. "They" have also led us through abortion of a possible leader to twart their plan.

One small hope in our world is the idea of a certain Mr Apocalypse doing the rounds as our time is about ripe for change...
