Fake Cannabis oil pen use EXPLODING amongst teens - And Their Health Is Taking A Blunt-Force Hit And it isn't that people making their own oil extract in their kitchen are doing "fake distillate". ONE death was caused by a cart from a dispensary in CA. (Got that info from a Marijuana Times article) What is happening is 2 fold. Unscrupulous people are adding K2/Spice to carts and people who have used a very popular fungicide on their cannabis have sold it as organic. The fungicide, when heated and ingested is terrifically toxic. So, yes, people are making boot leg knock off carts with added dangerous chemicals (K2/Spice) and people are making carts with residual fungicide in them. This doesn't -in any way- mean that a person extracting oil with Everclear or something like that, from a known organic grow in their own kitchen and adding that oil to a vape, will harm anyone. Nutshell, don't buy black market carts, and check that every batch from a dispensary has been certified as containing no chemical residue. Barring that, only ingest from known sources. Wow. This thread just went off the rails. Personally, I would only get stuff from someone I actually know in real life. But I'm a chicken and think flowers are just dandy. Things are bad enough, there is no need to make anything up. ~Fluffy "Never interrupt an enemy in the process of destroying himself." Quercitin and zinc...Get it. Take it. Talking sense there. Which fungicide are you speaking of? A natural one or chemical? |

Talking sense there. Which fungicide are you speaking of? A natural one or chemical? Thanks. I try really hard to actually get to the crux of the subject, not just generalities. The fungicide that is suspected in the carts is Myclobutanil. I can't find the article I read about this fungicide in relation to the cart issues, but here is an article about the fungicide and cannabis in general: [link to guardiandatasystems.com (secure)] I'm a little pressed for time atm, so maybe you'd be able to find it. I really thought it was from Marijuana Times. Things are bad enough, there is no need to make anything up. ~Fluffy "Never interrupt an enemy in the process of destroying himself." I really thought it was from Marijuana Times. "Myclobutanil is a triazole chemical used as a fungicide. It is a steroid demethylation inhibitor, specifically inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis. Ergosterol is a critical component of fungal cell membranes." Sounds nasty. I'm glad I don't have any mildew problems or anything. Once years ago I had a bit of powdery mildew. I used a UV-C light to stop it spreading. Have had zero problems with my new no-till grow style. I did have some gnats but a little top-dress of certain amendments and starting to water from underneath took care of that. Plants are ultra-healthy and just two to three weeks out from harvest. Have to say they are shockingly big and beautiful! Last Edited by Revolution of Consciousness on 09/09/2019 05:16 PM |
