I was riding the bus to school in third grade. At this point game boys were massive so i was distracted until we got to the school.
I remember the faces of the adults. The crt tvs were all on showing it live.
We were on lockdown and got home later than usual.
It was very surreal.
Quoting: eyeDR3 You guys locked down? Our parents were coming to get us right after the first plane hit. Oh also Air Force One flew over my house. Yes, we had military flying around i remember they had mobilized a lot that day. We had fighter jets really low go over more than once, at multiple times throughout the day. Again, surreal... Like we were about to go to war on the homeland. Kids aren't dumb. We were all so sad and quiet, a couple friends lost family too.
