Morning of 9/11 what were you doing?

Yes, we had military flying around i remember they had mobilized a lot that day.

We had fighter jets really low go over more than once, at multiple times throughout the day.

Again, surreal... Like we were about to go to war on the homeland.

Kids aren't dumb. We were all so sad and quiet, a couple friends lost family too.

I think the thread title was 911-18 on, something like that.
Anyway, somebody posted that video of George Bush Jr when he was live on TV, down in Florida in that kids classroom and the teacher got those little 5 year old kids to repeat the 5 key words: 'Kite, Plane, Must, Hit, Steal'. Now I don't know if that was the reason for the thread being pulled, I don't know what else was on that thread but it is gone.

The amount of times, I have posted something or merit only to find myself and or the thread deleted/banned. I do not know why I bother to come here to be honest, it is totally controlled, some dickhead is sitting there and monitoring every single fucking comment and deciding that 'ohh, I don't like that, no we won't have that in circulation' and BAM, deleted/banned/deleted/banned. Same here! Kid in my class, his aunt was in the first tower right in the area the plane hit. Instant death. They wouldn't turn on the TV in my class but the class next to us had it on. Our teacher was going back and forth trying to figure out what was happening.

All of us kids were trying to figure out what was going on. Talking to each other. One of my classmates said they heard people were jumping out of a building and on fire.

And that's when kids started getting called to the office to check out. My mom, dad, brother, sister walked down to my class to get me. That freaked me out to see all of them together like that.

That day was like a dream even as I was watching it happen live. Watching the towers collapse. My mom watching in horror. I remember it not really registering with me until the next day. I then realized what had happened to my country.

United flight, in the air. Had to return to Chicago. What a mess.

Working in a server closet for a federal defence contractor near the Pentagon. Co-worker popped in and told us about the first plane and we pulled out a TV for more info. Watched the second hit live and everything changed from accident to attack. We were told to evacuate the building and leave the area immediately. I was on my way home when the Pentagon was 'hit'.

I remember trying to get calls and texts out to friends and family but the service was so flooded that both were totally useless.

Spent the rest of the day with friends drinking HEAVILY and hoping for news on other friends of ours.

We lost 2 that day.. 1 from DC, 1 in the S. Tower.

Didn't drink heavily enough that day, everything's still vivid, unfortunately.

Preparing to go to work, not knowing that an hour after getting to the office I would be smelling burnt people in the air for a month later.

I went to class at a community college at 8:30. Philosophy. Teacher made announcement, went home to get ready for work. I remember this fat cunt being made because she didn't get the right dressing on her salad. Cue continuous loop of planes smashing towers in background throughout the restaurant. I was working and it sucked.

We were neighbors 8763. I worked for Arlington Co govt and spent the following three weeks, 12 hours a day, close enough to throw a rock through the hole in the Pentagon. We were immediately given first gen Blackberrys with direct-connect (walkie-talkie feature, for the youngens reading) to bypass the clogged phone system.

Do you remember how far the smoke traveled? I can't find a link to this, I tried. It was talked about on the news a week after 9/11. Captured in satellite imagery traveling down the east coast. I remember seeing it on the news and then seeing the haze in the air.

I came in a break time working outside maybe 9:30. Both towers had already been hit. I watched for about 10 minutes. Then went back to work. Somebody came out later on and said both towers had collapsed. I could hardly believe it.

Watching that short time I did, I remember Tom Brokaw talking about the damage and saying that both of those buildings, "are going to have to come down." I distinctly remember it, he said that. I thought, what kind of shit is he talking that they have to demolish them? How the fuck would he know that? He's not an engineer, a fireman, an architect, he's just some fuck reading the news.

Then I'm told an hour or so later that both of the towers crumbled. I'm the only person I know that remembers him saying that.

In the US Navy stationed at Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily

I had just returned from a business trip to Lagos, Nigeria on the previous day.

I was standing on the balcony of my high-rise apartment in NYC that morning, enjoying the beautiful NY skyline and harbor, direct line-of-sight to the WTC, when I saw the first plane hit.

So, I was quite rigid with amazement and shock for some minutes, when the second plane passed by.

This was so close that I could see right into the cockpit and there was this bearded guy inside. He looked out of the window, straight at me and we locked eyes.

He then opened his mouth wide and shouted something at me, though I could not hear the words, but I think it was "Aallahoo Akkbaar".....

I showed him my finger, and the plane passed by, that's about all.

Going to work when my exgirlfrd called me saying that NY is sinking and III World War just started.

I was in algebra.

Watched some controlled demolition and fake news.

I had just come home and went into the kitchen to make a sandwich, turned on the TV and it was live from New York after the first tower was on fire after just being hit by the first plane. I then spent the next probably 30+ hours watching the whole thing unfold. So my anger is still justified especially after being fucking well lied to about what happened by a bunch of criminal scum sucking filthy fucking cunting bastards.

I was piloting a Global Hawk drone into the P3ntag0n. But that is classified.

It was mid afternoon here in Holland, a bit before 3 pm local time. I was in a meeting, when someone came in and said a terrible accident had happened in New York, apparently a sports plane hat hit the Twin Towers and to turn on the tv, CNN International.

We had just turned it on when the second plane hit the other tower. Disbelief. First immediate thought: terrorist attack, WW3. Terrible sadness, shock, anger. Of course the meeting was over and I sent everyone on my department home.

Went home myself, my younger sister called. Crying. Meanwhile saw the images of the crash in the Pentagon and heard about the crash of flight 93. Talks about more planes being hijacked. Confusion, anxiousness. It was hard to control my feelings, crying. I felt the pain. To get my thoughts together, I sat down and wrote a poem "Nightmare from the Sky", penned it down within 10 minutes.

The tv stayed on for the next 72 hours. I think I only slept about 8 of them. Meanwhile I have a different view on what happened that day, but the sadness over the loss of so many innocent lives remains till this very day.

Working in a factory building makeup display stands, for stores, it was either maxfactor or loreal and it had a huge printed stylized picture of the twin towers on them. I guess they all had to be changed after that day.

Oh, so it wasn't Estee Lauder then? After all, it was Ronald Lauder who first campaigned to have the Twin Towers complex privatized so that they could change the security at the complex and be able to get in there and engage in criminal preparation work.

Sitting on IRC, trolling people and making shit up about bush being killed and all sorts of stupid shit. Didnt sleep that night. Went to school the next day running down the hallway saying i was a terrorist. It happened on my birthday, nobody forgot my birthday for quite some years after that. Didnt take me long to figure out it was a false flag even as an obnoxious teenager

I was living in Big Sur at the time. I went to San Fransisco the night before to get some herb, crashed on a buddy's couch, and woke up to what I thought was the end of the world.

My most vivid memory of that day was driving back to Big Sur, listening on the radio, frantically flipping channels up and down the dial. All regular programming was pre-empted in favor of that station's parent company's national coverage. Everybody was covering the attacks wall-to-wall, commercial free. Everybody, except for two stations.

The two FM hip-hop stations.

Neither of those stations said one word about the attacks. They were both playing music and commercials, the DJs were talking and making bad jokes like it was just another day... They were pretending absolutely nothing was happening.

Keep in mind, these were two different Bay Area hip-hop stations, with corporate owners (KMEL, Clear Channel, was one of them). Both of them were under the same marching orders from on high to ignore what was happening to this country. Like they were telling their audiences that it was okay to not give a shit... in essence, "fuck 'em, it's not your country anyway". The first reaction of these (likely white) corporate masters to the biggest mass-casualty terror attack in American history was to completely disassociate their majority black audiences from it, so they wouldn't feel anything.

It was the most blatant example of in-your-face corporate social engineering I've ever seen.

I was asleep and a friend knocked on my door and woke me up and told me.

I went onto IRC (internet relay chat) and even on that day I remember someone typing "looks like a controlled demolition" in one of the chat channels.

Does anyone use IRC any more?

I was drinking coffee with my boss in an 8 Mw Diesel Power Plant in a small town in Kansas. He had me start one up just in case.
