I came in a break time working outside maybe 9:30. Both towers had already been hit. I watched for about 10 minutes. Then went back to work. Somebody came out later on and said both towers had collapsed. I could hardly believe it.

Watching that short time I did, I remember Tom Brokaw talking about the damage and saying that both of those buildings, "are going to have to come down." I distinctly remember it, he said that. I thought, what kind of shit is he talking that they have to demolish them? How the fuck would he know that? He's not an engineer, a fireman, an architect, he's just some fuck reading the news.

Then I'm told an hour or so later that both of the towers crumbled. I'm the only person I know that remembers him saying that.
