My first gut reaction was that the elite finally had the excuse they needed to take away rights and privileges from the people. My gut is usually right. This was further reinforced when less than an hour after the first plane hit the cable networks were already running ads for patriotic merchandise. I never believed the official story and it made me very sad to see Americans lining up and willingly giving up their rights in the name of safety.
