The reality is that we are in both. At once. A simulation overlayed on base reality. Our real immortal form is effectively hoodwinked.

All cultures worldwide have always said the soul is immortal and the body lives a mortal life that is only a "journey" or a "lesson" or whatever. Are you aware of the concept of Maya? You think you know deep shit but this is something everyone knew before the modern times with all its gadgets and shit. There is no deception. All this knowledge is still here, everywhere, people just choose to willingly ignore it. It's not hidden from us at all. Most people today just don't care anymore about spirituality, they just want to have fun and deal with the consequences later. Nobody is forced to ignore spirituality and the immortality of their soul. They just don't fucking care.
