The World Trade Center was bombed in the basement the first time in February, 1993, one month after George H. W. Bush was no longer President. The terrorists stated that they wanted to topple one building into the other. Was Poppy Bush trying to destroy evidence even back then?

Edit..actually, to be more correct, I should say it was a failed first attempt. They couldn't get far enough up the shaft of the building from the basement garage. The next time, the crew was given easier access to the higher floors.
