Quoting: keybored Some 32 prisoners – some of whom had already been convicted and sentenced – were released after an external audit launched late last month revealed gaping flaws in the geolocation system used as evidence in their cases. Danish courts have declared a two-month moratorium on the use of cellphone data as evidence following the discovery that it is not nearly as reliable as previously thought, and over 10,700 cases since 2012 are being reviewed. “We simply can’t live with the idea that information that isn’t accurate can send people to jail,” chief public prosecutor Jan Reckendorff told public broadcaster DR. While admitting that exiling phone evidence from the justice system, even temporarily, was a “drastic decision,” Reckendorff said it was “necessary in a state of law.” [link to www.rt.com (secure)] That's one huge mega fuck up to have to deal with. I give them much credit for admitting it and doing something about it even if it will cause a shit storm, and I'm sure it will. Let's see what happens around here when all the years of FBI malfeasance is uncovered. I wonder has it ever been non-corrupt. Mornin KB. Nother beautiful day in paradise. Morning deplorable scottfree. Makes you wonder if it happened in other countries too and they covered it up? Well, we know it happened here. The famous FBI labs faking evidence. But unlike Denmark, there's been no mass retrials. So apparently they did cover it up here, at least to the extent that no one is getting their retrial. At least in Denmark's case it wasn't intentional.. or so they say. Sounds legit tho. From Hoover to Comey.... If they weren't there then there couldn't have been any physical evidence. Just think about that. What other bio-metric data or location data can be used just to frame someone? Will your lawyer even fight if it is considered infallible? |
