Well maybe if you all read it in services the congregation would think otherwise?
"Therefore will I divide him a portion among the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the mighty; because he bared his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. " 53:12 (JPS_1917)
Israel does not bore the sin of many nor make intercession for the transgressors.

So you are saying that Israel is Messiah? Jacob did/does no such thing. The only way you could do that is if the Temple was built and animal sacrifices resumed again. But the propitiation for sin has already been made, but if you understood that you would not be compelled to complete another Temple. The dry shank bone does not count. No. We argue that Isaiah 53 is not about Messiah! You assert that it is when there is no evidence for it! You say messiah = jesus = suffering servant there for suffering servant = messiah! This is your circular reasoning! But we argue suffering servant is not Messiah.
