Is there a lawyer in the house?
Back story ...

Before my folks passed it was said I would get the property andf my siblings would split the bank. Well Ma died and I asked my brother how he was with that understaning and he said ..well what does the will say?.

Fast forward..

Sister is executrix and dad's been dead for 5 years and it's gone to probate.

I don't have any thing to do with my siblings BTW

So lawyer sends me a deed says property to be split ..Get notarized all done and over..

So I did all that and now he calls and says oh blah blah blah the deed needs rewritten the buyers blah blah blah.

So I say OK send me the paperwork

So I get the new deed and it's 5k less then the first distribution.

But he said verbally over the phone that it was the same amount ....

This is horse shit but I just do know how to go about this.

Sorry wall of text...help please

Look for a trusts and estates lawyer in your local market with GREAT reviews - who offers a FREE case evaluation.

And take it from there.

I'm my opinion it's worth more than the estimate value I'm considering making an offer to my siblings

And thank you.

make sure your complaints are valid, and then
complain to the Probate Judge (talk to his clerk).

You should have paid a little money to begin with and asked a lawyer. Too late. Move on.

Re: Is there a lawyer in the house?
You should hire your own lawyer to represent your interests. The obvious down-side here is that if you're quibbling over $5k, a lawyer will eat that up in no time flat. The lawyers always come away smiling.

Re: Is there a lawyer in the house?
this is all over 5k? I would just let it go. 5k is not that much considering the time and money you'd have to spend to either get it back or find out you got screwed

I'm not quibbling over 5k..I'm not involved in this process of setting a price and will not accept it.

Executrix..that's why it took so long and went to probate.

I never got anything from the state regarding the outcome of the case.
