She also admitted at the preliminary hearing of David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt of the Center for Medical Progress that the baby’s head could be procured attached to the baby’s body or “could be torn away.”

SAN FRANCISCO, September 6, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — The CEO of StemExpress essentially admitted in court Thursday that her biotech company supplies beating fetal hearts and intact fetal heads to medical researchers.

She also admitted at the preliminary hearing of David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt of the Center for Medical Progress that the baby’s head could be procured attached to the baby’s body or “could be torn away.”

“That is an especially gruesome admission, but it begs the question: how did they get these fully intact human children?” says Peter Breen of the Thomas More Society, which is representing Daleiden at the hearing.

“If you have a fetus with an intact head and an intact body, and intact extremities, that is something that would indicate that child was born alive, and then had their organs cut out of them, or that that child was the victim of an illegal partial-birth abortion,” he told LifeSiteNews.

“Both of these are gruesome and violent acts.”

CMP’s Daleiden and Merritt are charged with 15 felony counts of illegal taping of confidential information in connection with undercover videos they released in 2015 after a three-year covert investigation into the buying and selling of baby body parts, which is a felony.

The covertly recorded videos exposed StemExpress as the go-to in California for Planned Parenthood’s trafficking in baby body parts, and the biotech company cut its ties with Planned Parenthood shortly after these were released.

CMP’s legal team is arguing in the preliminary hearing that the law does not consider conversations that can be overheard confidential and that covert recording is allowed when done to investigate violent crimes.

On Thursday, the court saw video clips of the StemExpress CEO, identified as Doe 12, meeting in May 2015 with Daleiden and Merritt, who were posing as owners of a biotech company.

Doe 12 says in the video there’s a great demand for “raw fetal tissue,” and that the “insanely fragile” neural or brain tissue is best shipped in a “whole calvarium,” or head, whereupon Daleiden says, “Just make sure the eyes are closed.”

“Yeah,” laughs Doe 12, “Tell the lab techs its coming…it’s almost like they don’t want to know what it is.”

Doe 12 was far less forthcoming in her testimony Thursday, as Breen noted.

“One thing we’ve observed throughout these proceedings is that these witnesses were much more candid when they spoke to David and Susan on the undercover video than they are on the stand,” he told LifeSiteNews.

But Charles LiMandri, one of the lawyers defending Dalieden and the CMP, argued that this testimony was needed to establish that Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress undercover investigators had a reasonable belief they were collecting evidence of violent crimes.

“There are important claims that need to be brought into focus,” LiMandri said, including the claim that four Planned Parenthood affiliates had a “profit motive” to ensure that babies were born alive because a “more mature fetus” had “more marketable body parts.”

“We believe there is evidence” babies are born alive in Planned Parenthood facilities because of the Stanford School of Medicine study that used Langendorff perfusion, which requires a beating heart, “only got the hearts from Planned Parenthood,” LiMandri said.

He also referred to a CMP undercover video in which Perrin Larton, procurement manager for Advanced Bioscience Resources, said there are instances where the mother will just put her feet in the stirrups and “the fetus will just fall out.”

LiMandri pointed out that Planned Parenthood receives massive amount of public funds annually and should be “under public scrutiny.”

Orrick said LiMandri was asking him to “be the first judge in the country” to interpret laws on the procurement of human fetal tissue, to which LiMandri responded: “Congress already did it,” adding that seeking a ruling on the “market in human fetal tissues” is not “asking the court to do that much.”

On Wednesday morning, Republican Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas, Josh Hawley of Missouri, Kevin Cramer of North Dakota, and Mike Braun of Indiana released a letter sent to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg expressing their disapproval and calling on the company to set things right.

“You claim that your fact-checkers are ‘certified’ through the ‘non-partisan’ International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN),” the senators wrote. “Listed first among the IFCN’s ‘Code of Principles’ is ‘A commitment to Nonpartisanship and Fairness’ that requires ‘signatories do not advocate or take policy positions on the issues they fact-check,’” a standard using these two abortionists clearly fails to meet.

“Your company, like Twitter, Google, Pinterest and so many other major Silicon Valley social media firms, has been repeatedly confronted with evidence of bias against those with conservative viewpoints, especially on the issue of abortion,” the letter said. “And in response you have repeatedly insisted that these numerous incidents of discrimination, censorship, and suppression of speech are merely glitches, not evidence of systemic bias.”

The senators conclude by calling on Facebook to “immediately issue a correction, remove any restrictions placed on the pages of Live Action and Lila Rose, and submit to an external audit” that includes access to “internal Facebook documents and procedures” as well as the ability to “question employees and senior officials.”

This audit, they stress, “should be real and meaningful, not like last month’s ‘audit’ that was nothing more than a summary of complaints against Facebook and its responses,” a reference to the first interim report released last month by a Facebook-commissioned audit team. It detailed a broad range of conservative grievances but rendered no verdict on their veracity and pledged few concrete reforms beyond greater “transparency.”

Media Research Center (MRC) president and longtime conservative leader Brent Bozell responded that the report “stunningly fails to admit fault or wrongdoing,” and its proposed solutions were “empty and insulting.”

Hawley, Cramer, Cruz, and Braun for their leadership in condemning Facebook’s decision to make two abortionists the arbiters of the national debate on abortion,” Rose responded in a statement. “Facebook’s attack on Live Action and me is an attack on the entire pro-life community. The platform should be a place for the free exchange of ideas, not one where only pro-abortion arguments are allowed. Live Action has asked Facebook to rectify this situation by rescinding their fact-check, sending a new notification to all users about the change, and apologizing, as well as reforming their ‘fact-check’ process.”

After the letter’s release, Live Action revealed via Twitter that Facebook sent out another notice Wednesday accusing the group of pushing “false” content:

October 22, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) - The website GotNews.com claims it has obtained and released "all" the remaining undercover videos of Planned Parenthood officials shot by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), including videos that were blocked from being released to the public by a court order.

Eleven previously unseen videos have been uploaded to YouTube.


The website's founder, journalist Charles C. Johnson, said that an internet hacker named Andrew “Weev” Auernheimer obtained the footage and uploaded it to YouTube.


"This material was turned over by Congressional whistleblowers not subject to the court order," Auernheimer said.

The videos, which range in length from just over one minute to more than 36 minutes, contain more intrepid footage of abortion industry officials.

In all, the footage totals around four hours. CMP has said its investigators had "painstakingly" gathered "hundreds of hours of undercover footage."


Johnson added that both he and his website have been served with a letter from the law firm representing the National Abortion Federation (NAF) - Morrison & Foerster - warning that, if they continue to make the footage available, they will be "subject to severe legal sanctions."

In July, the NAF has won a temporary restraining order against the Center for Medical Progress, enjoining it from releasing footage of NAF events and officials to the public.


But earlier this month, U.S. District Judge Wiliam H. Orrick III allowed CMP to deliver all uncut Planned Parenthood video footage to Congress, to honor a subpoena issued by Rep. Jason Chaffetz for the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
