Greenpeace activists suspended from Fred Hartman Bridge to stop ship channel traffic

Leave to body hanging for a couple years as warning to others just like the path lined with heads on a pike in the ancient times.

Hopefully there will be live action of passing ships snagging low hanging fruits. Those ships don't have brakes.

A video released by the environmental NGO shows masked men armed with automatic weapons breaking the windows of Greenpeace's Rainbow Warrior with sledgehammers.


Once inside, they point their weapons at activists, yelling "on the ground" and ordering the person filming the incident to stop.

The ship's captain and an activist were detained and are accused of "violating shipping safety regulations," the ministry said in a statement.

The Ministry of Interior said the officers had behaved in a "professional and effective" manner.

Aside from the traffic issues on the bridge, they have encroached on a much larger legal beast, in the form of Admiralty and Maritime Law. A few nights in the Harris County lock-up will ensure that they will never come back. They look like a trot line for sharks.
