It's in my signature - Prayer is the most powerful force on earth - and I see it on a regular basis. So happy for you that your son has realized his issue and chosen to handle it! That you took the issue to God instead of nagging at your son is a second wonderful event here, for which you are to be praised! Prayer is the most powerful force on earth. “I care not for a man's religion whose dog and cat are not the better for it.” Abraham Lincoln I sign all karma given. Would that those giving it to me followed suit. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20667102 Lmao It depends. He's not a genie bro...that's not the way it works. Think of Him as your Father....would your Father give you ANYTHING you asked for? Even if it was not good for your mental/physical/emotional health????? No. Nope. Not a chance. No way Jose. Not gonna happen. Uh-uh. Not in this lifetime. BUT---if you earnestly prayer for someones personal being to be more productive on Earth concerning the aforementioned---YES!!!!! Hey, I've been praying for something personal for at least 5 years now....the answer is NOT YET. THE TIME IS NOT RIGHT. Do I like it? No. Do I live with it? By all means. You see, you can trust Him over men any day of the week/month/year AND HE WILL LISTEN all the time! But you have to accept the answer may be no. The problem: What you're asking for, is it in His will for the life you're praying over....that's the key! And having faith is the corner stone to those petitions. He even answers people who do not believe yet, but want to believe. But when He does answer, sometimes people don't want to acknowledge His grace upon their pleading. Most people never realize how they are hurting themselves. God is there...but what your heart says in your belief is the key to understanding. The heart is very deceitful.... you have to know that. Really be honest, is this what YOU want for YOU, or is this what YOU want for THEM??? There is a BIG difference. Living has taught me one thing; nothing is certain...except salvation through Jesus Christ! |

Quoting: 1guynAz Well, it depends on what you're asking. Are you asking for someone else? Are your heart felt attentions on the right move? Does it benefit YOU in anyway? Will the person be a 'better person' for what you're asking? Does it go against God's will in this other person's life? I had been praying for my son for awhile now. I just made another prayer last night. I begged God to help my son get through this and for the Lord to show him how he needs to change this one thing. He was up and dressed for work, sat down and said: I came to this decision and need to fix this issue. Just letting you know what I'm doing... And it was months that I have been praying. I told him I was praying about it, and I also told him it was a good decision! So for those of you who pray and get no answer, this is my personal testimony. Pray about EVERYTHING! The answer comes in time. In God's good time...not ours... Amen! God is the great Economist as well--He answers in ways we cannot always see or comprehend. God is outside of time. God's will, persistence and patience are big parts of how to think about prayer. |
