Lime bikes, lime scooters and their batch of 'competitors' are wverywhere in some cities...

Why?

All have these batteries and some type of location sensor/receiver. One unlocks them for use with their device. So it is known which device is upon which asset and where.

Or send a signal through the riders device to lock the asset while in motion, or accelerate on its own...

They are responsoble for their app security, not tour phones or networks.

it would be easy to remotely turn on the device and let it run the battery down. These batteries are not supposed to be run all the way down and it will damage the battery. Sometimes causing them to explode.
