My question is what is the ideology of a racist? Leftwing or rightwing?

Sure, there are people of the right into group-think. People who consider themselves social/political conservatives, but who'll feel more sympathy for a slimy white Hillary than for a black Candace Owens.

But in more instances, there will be leftwing versions of such people. Instances where a white liberal, or a black liberal, will wear their bigotry and racism on their foreheads and do back flips and the watusi in order to shut out people based on their race because they don't like their ideology.

That's why 3 major, self-described-liberal Democrat US presidents decades after the death of Abraham Lincoln - Woodrow Wilson in the 1920s, Franklin Roosevelt in the 1930s-40s and Harry Truman in the 1940s-50s - were among the most racist, bigoted public figures in the past 100 years of American history.

In other words, don't buy the bullshit that Republicans of Lincoln's era would have been Democrats in today's era.
